Asia, Singapore: Pan Pacific hotel, since the interior of a business hotel is naturally divorced from the culture of its surroundings. On reflection though, Singapore is the exception, the driving force of the place is international commercialism, the grand atrium is a distinctive feature of the local architecture, and the trappings of the underlying Chinese culture give it just the right feel.
